Dua Lipa’s Tie-Dye Nails Are an Unexpected Fall Mani

The vacation never stops for Dua Lipa. When she’s not performing, she’s jet-setting off to a new location, always with a great manicure and outfit intact (yes, we’re jealous). Her latest nail look, however, subverts all the fall manicure trends, and we’re into the summer forever vibes.

On October 3, Lipa shared a casual photo dump of her latest trip on Instagram. This time, the singer captured her time visiting the capital of the United States in cheeky poses. While her outfit was very fall-coded—a long trench, jeans, a polo sweater, and boots—her tie-dyed manicure screamed summer.

When it comes to Lipa’s nails, you can expect them to be either a funky colorful print or a low-key polish color (she typically wears black or red), and this time, she opted for the former. Each nail had a blue and red blobby tie-dye print on a short rounded shape that felt fit for warm weather. Her nails had a sky blue base coat that was topped with blobs of red in a curved pattern, creating a faux tie-dye effect for a bright mani. It’s fun to see Lipa step outside the trend box when it comes to manicures, especially amid all the milky sheer and classic polish shades that are currently trending.

The rest of Lipa’s look followed her standard signature glam. Her red hair was left wavy and long, resting on her back and covered by a baseball cap. The statement of her makeup was her grungy smoked-out eyeliner which added an edgy feel.

The Radical Optimism singer just threw all the fall nail trends out the window—and we love her for it. If anything, her new manicure proves that fun patterns aren’t relegated to a single season (you could even try the tie-dye look with seasonal colors if you wanted to).
