Beyoncé’s Latest Manicure Has the Sweetest Hidden Detail

The “sticker book” nail trend makes for the coolest low-key manicures. It involves topping the nails with a decal or emblem for an eye-catching detail that even those adverse to nail art can get behind. Take it from Beyoncé, who used the trend to send a sweet tribute to her mom, Tina Knowles.

Earlier this month, Beyoncé made a sneaky appearance at Glamour’s Woman of the Year awards ceremony to support her mom. Photos of the singer were few and far between, which makes sense as she likely didn’t want to take the spotlight from her mom. The celebrations for Knowles are still ongoing per the Cowboy Cater singer’s latest post which had her new nails front and center.

Beyoncé posted a close-up shot of the nails on her Instagram, and her nail artist Miho Okawara Ishimaru reposted the photo on her account with the full breakdown of the look. Beyoncé’s rounded nails feature a milky white base with a pink shimmer chrome topping, and her middle finger has a sweet gold “mom” sticker, paying homage to Knowles. To create the look, Ishimaru used a custom color called “Melty gelato” which she claimed in her caption would be released to the public soon.

Adding personal touches, whether it be accessorizing our accessories or using nail stickers to send a message has been a major trend this fall. Beyoncé’s manicure is a masterclass in how the trend’s quirky stickers can also send a personal message.

It’s unclear if the manicure was a nod to Knowles or Beyoncè herself (she’s a mother of three), but in the post, Beyoncé included photos with Knowles and selfies of her rocking the corporate core trend with her light blonde curls. Parted down the center, her platinum curls had major length (it was a total juxtaposition to her recent curved bob cut) and the prettiest waves. For glam, she opted for fluttery black lashes, glowy pink cheeks, and a matching glossy pink lip look.
