Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber Went Y2K Blonde for Their ‘Simple Life’ Halloween Costume

Halloween doesn’t start until Hailey Bieber says so: The queen of manicures, street style, and glazed skin is also a spooky season connoisseur (what a list!). Every year we can expect the beauty founder to bless our Instagram feeds with a well-thought-out costume referencing iconic characters or moments. And, her first costume is finally here. This year, her bestie Kendall Jenner got in on the fun and joined Bieber for an iconic matching blonde moment.

When we say “iconic matching blonde moment,” Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie should immediately came to mind. Bieber and Jenner channeled the iconic 2000s duo, recreating The Simple Life cover photo, with Jenner as Hilton and Bieber as Richie. Of course, Bieber leaned into the cosplay of it all with a skunk-streaked blonde hair transformation, and Jenner’s new ’90s blonde color fit right in.

In the photo, Bieber has Richie’s long layers, with dramatic short pieces resting right at her chin and dark brown streaks and roots throughout the caramel-y blonde color that just screams Y2K. While we’d wager Bieber’s hair change is a wig, Jenner’s might just be extensions. Her golden blonde shade is very similar to the color she’s been wearing since fashion week, just with added length and a deep side part to perfectly resemble Hilton. Bieber’s hair was crafted by Jared Henderson, while Jenner worked with Irinel de León.

The makeup was similarly on-point. Bieber wore a smoky eye with heavy black eyeliner, completing the look with slightly blushed cheeks and lots of gloss courtesy of makeup artist Leah Darcy. Makeup artist Diane Buzzetta opted for wispy mascara, gloss, and pink blush for a softer look on Jenner.
