Jennifer Lopez’s Frosted Manicure Is Ready for Winter

Jennifer Lopez is ready for winter. How do I know that? The multi-hyphenate arrived to the UK screening of her new film Unstoppable looking like an ice princess with a frosty white manicure to match.

We’re in a weird liminal space between fall and winter, which means anything goes in the nail department. The trend cycle is about to get refreshed with all new colors and textures, and J.Lo’s newest set is making the case to be added to the rotation. Dressed in all-white, the nail muse opted for a shimmery matching manicure, putting a twist on popular chrome and metallic styles.

J.Lo’s frosted manicure was the perfect balance of ornate and minimal, with the all-over chrome creating a cool shimmery texture sans gemstones or 3D details. She opted for a long square base that was slightly rounded at the edges for a polished feel. Typically, the actor goes for an almond shape so the longer square made for a refreshing change. Her nails were topped with a sparkly white shade that was painted on in swirls to achieve a cool marble look, giving it that frosty, just-snowed look.

She collaborated with makeup artist Scott Barnes and hairstylist Jesus Guerrero on her glam for the night which was soft, bronzed and very J.Lo-coded. Since the monochromatic white look was a statement, her makeup featured a light mascara with an all-over bronze completed with a nude lip. For hair, she opted for a low loose knot with two strands framing each side of her face for a casual take on the classic bun.

J.Lo’s nails had the party-ready energy of a ’90s frosted lip gloss, and for that, we’re obsessed. We’ll be adding the look to our pre-winter nail mood boards for unstoppable manicures all season long.
