Held on January 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as a part of the larger Riyadh Season, Joy Awards 2026 celebrated artists, athletes, and public figures from around the world. Katy Perry opened the glamorous event with a beautiful performance and also presented the Favourite Female Singer award. She wore a fully sequined champagne-gold pantsuit for the performance.
Off the stage, Perry shone in an illuminated feather jacket from Clara Daguin, paired perfectly with glittering diamond drop earrings. Crafted from 4000 dense white feathers, the ultra-dramatic, couture-style statement piece had a cloud-soft, sculptural silhouette. The illuminated feathers made the entire jacket shimmer and glow like a constellation. Meanwhile, its oversized volume engulfed the shoulders and torso, creating a cocoon effect that felt both futuristic and ethereal.
In early December 2025, the official Instagram page for Clara Daguin shared a video that showed a model wearing the jacket on the runway. Set to Cardi B’s “Monkey,” the clip also gave a glimpse at the making of the handcrafted jacket. The post caption read, “PIMP jacket — 4000 illuminated feathers, unapologetically lit.”
Styled by Heather Picchiottino, Perry had graced the lavender carpet at the Joy Awards in a strapless dress. The couture design, titled Mother of Pearl, was from Saudi designer Waad Aloqaili’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection. It featured a structured bodice made of layered panels of natural mother-of-pearl and a skirt with vertical crystal and bead fringes. The songstress wore her hair in a sleek bun with a middle part. She paired her outfits with silver pointed-toe pumps.
