Beyoncé’s Platinum Bob Is Giving Old Hollywood Glamour

It’s official: Beyoncé is in her Old Hollywood era. After debuting a cool curved bob and a platinum color a few weeks ago, she’s switched out her cowboy vibes for a more glamorous aesthetic which she showed off last night in New York.

Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards took place on October 8, and at the event, the magazine honored their WOTY recipients including iconic moms like Tina Knowles, Gen-Z muses like Suni Lee and Sydney Sweeney, and stars like Taraji P. Henson and Pamela Anderson. During the ceremony, Beyoncé arrived to support her mom wearing a glamorous curly bob that resembled Marilyn Monroe’s signature hairstyle.

For the occasion, Beyoncé swapped her curved bob and long blonde hair for what seems like her go-to style as of late: a retro bob. Parted to the side, the voluminous curls in her bob created lots of shape, with the ringlets resting just above her shoulders for a similar curved effect. The platinum color paired with the curls gave Marilyn Monroe vibes in the best way.

The Cowboy Carter singer kept her glam simple and glowy, letting the hair be the statement of her look. She opted for fluffy lashes and a bit of black eyeliner paired with a glossy pink lip.

In a video on Glamour’s Instagram, the singer can be seen tearing up during Knowles’s heartfelt speech (stars, they’re just like us). We’d wager she came in through the back because there are few photos of her at the event, but she did pose for a few sweet pics with her mom and Kelly Rowland.
