Day three of The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode’s Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week schedule granted us the latest couture creations from Valentino. The show marked the first since the passing of the legendary Valentino Garavani, who passed away earlier this month. At the Tennis Club de Paris, Alessandro Michele (who has served as creative director since 2024) invited guests like Dakota Johnson and Tyla to an unconventional peep-show presentation. Guests were seated facing backwards before turning to glimpse the collection as models appeared within a circular white space. From dramatic feathered looks to sleek slips embroidered with thousands of crystals, Michele’s couture creations took opulence to new heights.
Valentino Haute Couture Spring 2026 Collection Review
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“What a headache. So tired of his gimmicks.” [imjustken]
“This wasn’t glamorous at all.” [just ken]
“Ouch. Probably the worst venue and runway setting ever conceived. It was painful to watch through the live stream and I know Anna hated every single minute of it. A complete 180 from his debut couture collection. You can clearly see his vision has been compromised.” [FashionPower]
“Why does it look so cheap and Z list? The only thing missing was Coco Rocha closing the show.” [MyNameIs]
“It looks like a Halloween catalogue in the worst possible way.” [philophile]
“Geez. Horrible presentation. Atrocious clothes. Alessandro Michele is running this maison to the ground.” [blackcherrified]
“This man is not a couture designer and has honestly ruined this brand. This has NOTHING to do with Valentino and is an exercise in pure vanity and ridiculous costume regalia. This is the biggest waste of time.” [Kite]
