Jennifer Lawrence Just Wore a Millennial-Coded Fall Hair Trend

Over the past few years Jennifer Lawrence has really defined her aesthetic. She’s usually spotted wearing The Row or Khaite while out-and-about in New York, working with stylist Jamie Mizrahi on sleek looks for red carpet moments and appearances. On the beauty side, however, the actor likes to try on different styles and glam, but one look she always goes back to (and wore last night) is so Millennial-coded.

On November 14, Lawrence arrived in Los Angeles for the premiere of her new Apple TV film, Bread and Roses. For the occasion, Lawrence wore a moody black off-the-shoulder gown with an equally as moody hairstyle: The Hunger Games alumna put a twist on early 2000s side bangs.

Hairstylist Gregory Russell collaborated with Lawrence on the hairstyle, swapping out her french girl bangs for a polished and preppy side part. Russell likely straightened down her bangs and swept them to the side, locking them in place with hair spray to keep the side swoop in place. The bangs swept down just below her eyebrow, and was tucked into the rest of her hair. The rest of her strands were worn long and freshly blown out, highlighting the blonde and caramel shades throughout her hair.

While Lawrence will often try on new hairstyles, her glam is usually pretty standard, and last night was no different. She wore a smoky cranberry eyeshadow across her eyes paired with wispy lashes and a retro black eyeliner, courtesy of makeup artist Georgie Eisdell. The look was complete with a muted pink lip and a matching blush swiped across her cheeks.

As we creep towards the end of the year, we can almost officially say that side parts and bangs were one of the biggest hair trends of the year (and one that Lawrence frequented!). We’ll be looking to recreate the style this fall and beyond.
