Jennifer Lopez’s “Moonstone” Manicure Has Magic Powers

I’m counting down the days until I can go see Wicked, and I’d guess Jennifer Lopez feels the same. The multi-hyphenate attended the film’s Los Angeles premiere over the weekend, wearing a witchy manicure that looked like it had magical powers of it’s own.

The premiere took place on Saturday, November 9, with Lopez arriving in a sequined Zuhair Murad dress paired with a princess updo and of course, a cool manicure. The star collaborated with manicurist Tom Bachik on her “moonstone” nails which are a refreshing change from seasonal shades and milky manis.

Bachik posted a breakdown of the look on his Instagram, naming the nails her “moonstone” manicure since the dreamy design is reminiscent of the crystal. For the base, Bachick opted for a medium-length square shape, a switch-up from her usual rounded almond shape. You couldn’t pin Lopez’s nails to just one color—the design featured swirls of blues, whites, and grays to create the dreamy pattern of a the stone. Bachik revealed in his caption that he used Aprés Nails tips in Maisie covered with chrome powders from his upcoming polish collection (according to the caption, it’s coming soon to TomBachik.com).

Lopez worked with Rokael Lizama and Andrew Fitzsimons on her quintessential J.Lo glam: She wore her hair in a prom queen updo, with lots of volume in the back and her bangs blown-out to frame her face. The style, which is everywhere right now, highlighted the pretty caramel tones in her hair. Her makeup featured an all-over glow with a shimmery eyeshadow and fluffy lashes paired with glowy cheeks and a soft pink lipstick.
