Selena Gomez Can’t Stop Wearing This Unexpected Fall Nail Color

Trying out a new nail color once isn’t anything out of the ordinary. Wearing it twice probably means you’re a fan, but sporting the same look three times in the span of a few months? It just can’t be a coincidence, and we’d wager this is the case with Selena Gomez’s penchant for sheer pink lip gloss-inspired nails. She might even make it one of fall’s most unexpected trends.

For those unfamiliar, the manicure muse has seemingly ditched popular fall shades of brown and cider apple red for “lip gloss” looking nails. The trend includes applying a sheer pink coat of polish to the nails a lá a swipe of slightly tinted lip gloss. She wore the trend on the Emilia Pérez press tour, she put a shimmery twist on the trend at the Academy Museum Gala, and she wore classic lip gloss nails last night at the Rare Impact Fund Benefit.

Hosted by Gomez, the Rare Impact Fund Benefit celebrates and promotes Rare Beauty’s mission to provide youth mental health services. The event took place in Los Angeles, with the multi-hyphenate host arriving in a black Oscar de la Renta gown.

Tom Bachik crafted Gomez’s light pink manicure, first by shaping her nails into her signature rounded-almond shape for the base. Then, according to his Instagram, he applied Naked by MiaSecret, a your-nails-but-better pink, over the brand’s Nude builder gel. The result? A glossy soft pink manicure that’s simple and sophisticated.

Gomez’s regular glam team (Hung Vanngo on makeup and Marrissa Marino on hair) got the beauty founder ready for the night. Vanngo opted for a warm-toned eyeshadow look, smoking a brown color on her lashline topped with a thin winged black eyeliner to add dimension to her eyes. He tied the look together with soft pink lipstick and matching blush. After revealing a short chop at the Academy Museum Gala, Gomez styled her shorter length in a softly curled lob.
