Selena Gomez Revived the Lip Gloss Nails Trend for Fall

We’ll always go back to the classics, Selena Gomez included. Even celebrities (and their glam teams) know sometimes the simplest silhouettes can have the biggest impact. And, after a month of trying out fall-inspired nails, the actor went back to a tried-and-true manicure color that always wins.

Gomez has been booked and busy this fall, but no matter the occasion, we can always depend on her for great manicure inspo. Yesterday, she was out and about in New York working on a campaign for Rare Beauty and today, October 10, she’s across the pond in London at a press shoot for her upcoming film Emilia Perez. For the occasion, she swapped her bronzy toffee and apple cider nails for a classic sheer pink “lip gloss” manicure.

We’re betting that Gomez’s nails are a barely-there shade of pink that in different lighting, could skew closer to an off-white color. She stuck to her usual rounded almond shape for the manicure which was finished with a shiny top coat. The done-up nails added another sleek element to her Schiaparelli black dress ensemble.

Boring? Well, maybe a little, but, neutral nails have the effect of always look polished. Plus, they go with everything and can fall seamlessly into the background without taking away from an outfit’s shine. It’s a dependable manicure and sometimes that’s just what you need.

For her glam, the actor opted for matte skin (it’s making a comeback folks!) with extra pink flushed cheeks complete with a fall-worthy gray smoky eyeshadow look. Her rosy lipgloss tied the look together.
