Taylor Swift’s Liquid Gold Nails Are an Opulent Fall Mani

Most things Taylor Swift does are extremely intentional. The clothes she wears, how she wears them, and the glam she pairs them with is always thoughtful, with the Swifties at the ready to analyze all the potential hidden Easter Eggs. But, it’s safe to say her latest manicure is simply cute—sans hidden clues.

Yesterday, November 4, was Monday Night Football with the Chiefs up against the Florida Buccaneers. Swift made an appearance to cheer on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, arriving in an all-black outfit with a vintage leather Chiefs-themed jacket and a shiny manicure we couldn’t miss if we tried.

For the occasion, Swift wore a cool metallic manicure that looked like it was made from molten gold. The singer opted to paint the shade on her natural nails, which had a short, rounded square shape. You couldn’t miss the golden metallic polish—the color boldly reflected in the light, creating a pretty shine. Of course, the Chiefs uniform features red and gold colors, so while the hue doesn’t exactly scream fall, it was a cute way for Swift to show her support.

While it doesn’t seem to be a nod to her next upcoming re-recording, Reputation Taylor’s Version, the album’s palette is black and gold, so it’s not not a hint at a drop. You might remember too that she sported golden freckles to one of the last games, so perhaps the shade is just a fun game day tradition for the singer.

The rest of her glam was standard: She wore a bold fire hydrant red lipstick (swapping out her go-to fall shade, Nars Morocco) with her fluffy side bangs and long natural waves.

Her all-black outfit included a pair of AGOLDE Dee shorts, a Mugler black bodysuit, Christian Louboutin knee-high boots, and a black belt from The Row.

With Swift’s stamp of approval, gold manicures might have a moment this fall. Regardless, the pretty color is worth trying out if you’re looking to switch things up.
