Zendaya’s Cher Cosplay Included Waist-Length Dark Brown Hair

The only way to describe Zendaya’s latest look? As Shawn Mendes once said: It’s giving Cher. The actor surprised our timelines with a full-out Cher cosplay for the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony, complete with a dramatic hair change.

Zendaya hive knows that lately, the star has been donning caramel strands with bright highlights—until now, that is. The actor, who was presenting Cher with her Hall of Fame induction, showed off her (and Law Roach’s) method dressing prowess with a 2001 Bob Mackie cut-out gown and waist-length brown hair.

The Challengers actor ticked off all the boxes of a great Zendaya look. There was an archival gown (check!), a reference to be had (check!), and an element of surprise—her silky long hair (check!). She opted to part it down the center for a retro feel and went back to her signature chocolate brown color. The extra-long hair rested at the top of her waist and was super shiny and silky.

For glam, Zendaya kept it simple with an all-over glow from her cheeks to her lips. Her cheeks were highlighted with a pop of pink blush and the look was complete with a swipe of pink lip gloss. She let the hair and gown be the centerpiece with low-key makeup that added to the overall shine of the ensemble.

Dua Lipa (who also just debuted a darker hair refresh for fall) attended the event and snapped a sweet picture with Cher and Zendaya. Z thanked the “Believe” singer in her speech for being an icon, ally, and advocate.

Everyone say “thank you, Law Roach!” The dynamic fashion duo did it again, and we can’t wait to see how Zendaya will style her chocolate brown hair throughout fall.
