The covers of British Vogue just don’t quite hit the mark like they once did. Despite talents like Margot Robbie, Millie Bobby Brown, Gwyneth Paltrow, Raye, Michaela Coel, Doechii, Dua Lipa, and Bella Hadid rearing their heads as cover girls of late, covers are extremely hit and miss. Chioma Nnadi, who succeeded Edward Enninful as the publication’s head honcho in 2024, invites Jessie Buckley onto the cover of the magazine for February 2026. The Irish actress (a 2026 Golden Globe Award nominee for “Hamnet”) is placed before the lens of the photographer Jack Davison on the occasion of her debut Vogue cover appearance. In the sun-lit cover photograph, Buckley is dressed by stylist Raphael Hirsch in a satin dress with a plexiglass neckline from Prada, and jewelry from Tiffany & Co.

“Absolutely loathe this. It’s no secret that I believe that British Vogue is a shadow of its former self, and it’s just so incredibly sad to see the magazine produce such rough and amateur covers. Not a fan of this at ALL. There’s not one redeeming feature,” shreiked vogue28.
“Very boring cover, but at least it’s not offensively dull, I guess,” voiced thenewclassic upon checking out British Vogue‘s latest.
“The editorial is REALLY good. The cover could’ve been better,” thiago chimed in.
“Very WSJ! A good but boring cover. A fantastic editorial, but not very Vogue. First Vogue started to absorb the aesthetic of indie publications. Now, they are absorbing the aesthetic of Lifestyle magazines,” noted Lola701.
Ivano commented: “Different in a pleasant way. Raw aesthetic is such a let-down in fashion magazines, but here it works so well. Very well-deserved for Jessie!”
“This is gorgeous, best cover story from them in a long time,” applauded Marc10.
